Canon and Nikon are two giant camera manufacturers that always dominate the use of photography tools in every prestigious sporting event world. Their dominance was again seen at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
A photo shows thousands of cameras and lenses arranged neatly in a storage warehouse. The tools, known, provided by Canon and Nikon to accommodate the smooth coverage during the Olympic event took place.
Reported PetaPixel, two Japanese manufacturers that not only provide a camera and a backup lens. They also prepare 60 technicians from 10 different countries.
The technician is on duty to help the photographer check the equipment, wash the lens, and calibrate the camera according to the factory standard.
Canon says it has prepared 1359 different tool items, including 2015 cameras and 520 lenses. Of all the cameras brought, 100 of them DSLR type 1D X Mark II.
Canon technician group also brought 700 kinds of spare parts. They ensure that all Canon cameras used by photo reporters work well during the game.
Unlike the Canon that openly informs the luggage, Nikon tends to be more closed. But from the photos seen if they bring the camera type D5 and D850, along with the lenses.
They are also reluctant to specify the total amount of their luggage. Quoted from DPReview, all the cameras they carry are worth the hundreds of luxury car units.
